At Varano de’ Melegari (Parma), we lit the fuse on Friday with the Trofei Malossi free practice sessions, letting it simmer nicely over three days until Sunday 20th September 2026, when the main event erupted at the Autodromo Riccardo Paletti circuit. The Miscela Village threw open its gates, the 39th Trofei Malossi season went out with a bang, and hundreds of Malossers came down to spend the day with us trackside. True to form, Henry Favre and DJ Roy fired things up, keeping the schedule ticking, grilling the paddock stars on the mic, and setting the tone at the Miscela Village with the right playlist from the first roll of the wheels to the very last piadina.
7 countries, over 100 trade partners
This year, we welcomed over 100 direct commercial partners who made the trip not only from across Italy, but from Albania, Bosnia, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, and Thailand. We set aside a dedicated VIP lounge for them to unwind and enjoy a day far removed from the daily grind – just metres from the circuit tarmac, the most brutal test bench for every component we build.
Alessandra and Andrea Malossi spent the day alongside them between heats, catching up, thanking them, and sharing a moment in person with the people whose everyday graft pushes the Malossi name into workshops worldwide. It was a firm reminder that World Malossi Day belongs to them, too. Putting faces to names we usually only see on a screen or in an email chain made the whole day even more special: the turnout from our partners was massive, and catching up with everyone under one roof was pure electric.
Fireworks and exhaust fumes
The first real sparks flew over at the rolling road dyno. We completely lost count of the bikes, scooters, and mopeds rolled onto the dyno drum, every single one rolling off with hard evidence on paper – and iron-clad bragging rights for the next workshop debate over who’s actually putting down the most bhp.
Then, three times across the day, came the showstoppers: the moments that force every chin skyward and stop the entire paddock mid-breath. Andrea Cavina’s FMX INTERNATIONAL crew took to the air for three insane freestyle motocross displays, launching 2-stroke and 4-stroke machinery over 10 metres off the deck. The crowd reacted the only way you do with fireworks: dead silence on the way up, absolute bedlam on the landing. These riders put everything on the line, and the roar when the knobbly tyres gripped asphalt again was equal parts sheer awe and massive relief.
Whirlwinds and flares
Over at the Malossi Racing Academy stand, an Aerox mounted to the moto simulator ran flat-out all day long, spinning like a Catherine wheel – properly mental, yet perfectly dialled in. Dozens of Malossers hopped in the saddle to see what it actually feels like to corner with the throttle pinned like an MRA rider. Just next door, our series partner Milwaukee laid out a lineup of professional workshop kit so tidy you’d happily stick it on display in the front room.
Paky, never one to duck out of the chaos, set up camp right alongside the stunt zone to live-paint an F12 Chopper build. The result was fluorescent, raw, and unmistakably Malossi. The post-paint shakedown was immediate: wildly impractical to ride, marginally better with your boots on the seat, definitely not highway-legal.
Devais took a breather from the Trofeo ScooterMatic starting grid to jump on stage and trade paint with Paky in an Ape. When both tackled the FMX launch ramp head-on, half the crowd braced for impact. Turns out, the lads actually knew what they were doing.
Ivan Giussani – who claimed fourth overall in last year’s Malossi Racing Academy – has hung up his race leathers for now, but skipping the Trofei Malossi finale was never an option. He held down his paddock pitch with an HM Derapage, breaking down the spec right down to the last bolt. Meanwhile, Arabgt rolled in with pure energy and his fully Malossised Ciao, gleaming gold like the finale of a fireworks show – except this one was very real metal. This man certainly knows how to build a moped.
Old-school sparks and tomorrow’s firepower
The Vintage Area delivered that classic nostalgia hit. For older Malossers, the historic race machines triggered a flood of two-stroke memories from youth; for the younger crowd, it served as an unfiltered masterclass in our brand heritage (minus the boring classroom exam).
A few paces away, long-time MRA partner Italjet drew shoulder-to-shoulder crowds around the Dragster 700 and their newest stablemates. Menacing, razor-sharp, and even better when packing our racing hardware, their machines looked ready to detonate all at once.
The Grand Finale
The final round on track dropped the curtain on the 39th Trofei Malossi campaign. It’s always slightly bittersweet when the engines cut out and the circuit dusk settles. Trophies were raised, hands were shaken, but the story isn’t over: we’ll meet our champions again at EICMA for the official podium celebrations, and next season will be on us before we know it.

- Trofeo Nazionale Scooter Velocità (National Scooter Speed Trophy): Vincenzo Sciacca clinched the crown on the top step, with Ignacio Roman in second and Sergio Boccardo taking third (yes, you’ll be seeing a few of these names more than once).
- Trofeo ScooterMatic (ScooterMatic Trophy): Vincenzo Sciacca took full honours again, defending the top spot ahead of Ignacio Roman and Gennaro Scelzo.
- Malossi Racing Academy: dominated from start to finish by freestyle mountain biker Torquato Testa, who brought an elite athlete’s mindset straight onto the tarmac to seal the title. Behind him, Joseph Ceccarini, Antonino Rapicavoli, and an outstanding roster of riders pushed him every inch of the way. We couldn’t be prouder of the graft every single one put in across the year. (Heads up: pre-enrolment for the MRA 2027 season is officially open!)

Lights out at Varano, green flag at Rho
When the pyro fades, the smell of gunpowder hangs in the air. At Varano, that was replaced by crisp two-stroke premix and Felix’s piadinas, washed down ice-cold at the Miscela Village. The vintage VW Photobus churned out souvenir prints all afternoon, sending everyone home loaded with merch, dyno power readouts, paddock banners, and a proper dose of track adrenaline.
