Much more than a simple cylinder capacity increase: it involves a total redesigning
Let’s start with what is obvious, that we increased the cylinder capacity from 94cc to 100cc. Yet – driven by an irrepressible desire to exceed the limits once again – we went even further, and to ensure maximum reliability and performance, we completely redesigned every component of the kit.
Connecting rod, crankshaft, intake, exhaust and internal passage configuration: everything has been redesigned with a state-of-the-art approach to enhance the performance of the 100cc cylinder.
An innovative design, three different types
It is true that once the cylinder is mounted, you can barely see it, but we have completely revamped the design of the 100cc: after all, appearance is important too. The aesthetics of the new 100cc Malossi cylinder adds value to the excellent performance guaranteed by the design of the thermal unit. That’s how it stands out, on every racetrack: for its power and its unprecedented, streamlined silhouette.
At Malossi we have thought of everyone and, in order not to leave anyone behind, we have created three different types of 100cc cylinder, so that our product fits different motorcycles and scooters.
On Piaggio scooters it can only be used in combination with our RC-One crankcase, while on Derbi Moto 50 and Minarelli AM6 the original crankcases have to be bored out.

Redesigned to achieve excellence
The head cover retains its identity with code number 3115883, while the rest of the cylinder has been entirely redesigned to rise to unprecedented levels of performance. It remains true to our original philosophy – characterised by 7 transfer ports and an exhaust sleeve – whilst volumes and flows have been revolutionised, to unleash all the power the cylinder has to offer. Zero compromise: you need a 30 – 34 mm carburettor, a clear step forward compared to the previous model, which was also compatible with a 21 mm one. To ensure perfect synergy and maximise performance on the road, it is necessary to match the 100cc crankshaft (identified by a new code), the structure of which has been renewed with a 100mm connecting rod.
The result is an unrivalled driving experience, provided by increased torque and power thanks to optimal utilisation of the expanding gas pressure.
Thanks to this cylinder, the engine benefits from reduced loads on pistons and bearings, therefore extending its service life. Moreover, friction is significantly minimised, and engine efficiency is increased, all accompanied by a significant reduction in noise and vibrations.

A dedicated, easy-to-install exhaust system
The exhaust system that accompanies this cylinder is the result of targeted engineering and is designed to enhance the performance and perfect the fluid dynamics of the new Malossi cylinder. We did this by optimising the angle of the exhaust port and implementing a tailor-made fitting.
Moreover, in order to ensure an effective connection to the exhaust pipe, we have developed an ingenious flange-connection system, which is secured to the cylinder by means of three cylinder head screws and an O-ring seal to the exhaust pipe. This simple yet highly effective solution, prevents any possible leakage from the thermal unit. Using this solid, efficient coupling, it is possible to perfectly integrate the dedicated expansion, identified by code number 3118599.
What is the result? A design that combines simplicity and advanced technology, for a driving experience pitched at a new level of excellence.
Impressive power and high-level specifications
Last, but not least, our 100 cc offers over 32 hp at 14,000 rpm, with a stroke of 47 mm and, as we said, requires a 30-34mm carburettor, depending on the version. This represents a significant leap in performance, providing a more powerful, exciting ride.
