CHINA RACE MALOSSI-PIAGGIO ZIP 80

The race of 24-25 May 2003 had successful completed. Total 50 riders joined the race, they included 35 Chinese Riders and 15 Hong Kong Riders. Riders have their practice on the 1st day, and competitions on the 2nd day. Competition races were divided in Beginners, Experts and Open class. Senior Riders, like Cheung Wai On, Champion of the Macau Race, So Wing Zai, King of Scooter in Kwangtung, were invited to participate in the Open Class, in that ZIPs were modified with Malossi racing kits.
Good comments have been received from riders as well as audience. They found the race exciting and enjoyable.
Feedback from riders were gathered after each race and reported to Mr Pitti of Piaggio right away in order to have better understanding of the strength and weakness of the bikes. One point is that, modified ZIPs performed better, and they all satisfied with the performance of Malossi racing kits. As the scooters racing in China are getting mature, riders were demanding for better performance spareparts. Malossi racing kits could just suit their requirements. We are in the right track in promoting Malossi.
